Veterans Services at SPC

SPC consistently ranks among the best schools in the nation for serving veterans and gets high marks for its military-friendly culture and commitment to veterans.

Since 2012, SPC has been ranked as a top school by the Military Times that evaluates the many factors that make colleges and universities a good fit for service members, military veterans and their families.

The St. Petersburg College Student Veterans Association provides peer support, networking, camaraderie and special events. It is:

Open to all students currently enrolled at St Petersburg College, active duty members, national guardsmen, and reservists

An informational, social, professional networking club.

The SPC Student Veterans Association’s primary mission is to:

Spread veterans awareness campus-wide and support student veterans whom are attending St. Petersburg College.

Provide student veterans with information on veteran-related issues and establish a strong student support network.

Advocate veterans-related issues.

Provide information to returning veterans on their federal and state benefits.

St. Petersburg College Student Veterans Association goals are to:

Provide guidance, mentoring, and support services to student veterans within our campus community.

Help smooth the transition process from military to civilian life and into campus life.

Provide the necessary guidance and peer mentoring to all new incoming/current student veterans.

Provide professional guidance to student veterans; résumé reviews and tips, workshops, networking, etc.

Establish a St. Petersburg College Student Veterans Alumni Group.
