🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Femi & Dr. (Mrs) Damilola Babatunde!

It is such a great joy to celebrate this power couple who serve God together and grow together!

Their journey with us at Spirit Brood Theological Seminary is a testament to faithful calling and intentional growth. In April 2023, they were both licensed as Christian Counselors under our College of Christian Professionals and Researchers, having completed the program side by side while still living and doing ministry in Nigeria.

Just weeks after their licensure, they answered God’s call and relocated as missionaries to Maputo, Mozambique, to pioneer The Seed Growing Church. And true to its name, the church has grown like a seed planted on good soil — vibrant, fruitful, and prophetic in impact.

Earlier this month, Dr. Femi and Dr. (Mrs) Damilola Babatunde both earned their PhD in Christian Education from All Nations Theological School, Mozambique Campus. It's exciting to know that they did it together, once again.

👏 The highest score was earned by Ojaba Benedict from Uganda, who scored an impressive 83%!

Mr. Ojaba is an allied health professional and Christian leader whose testimonial describes the course as “a game-changer that has given me deep wisdom and an unwavering anchor.”

🙏 Worthy of mention is Rev. Fr. John Magnus Yatai, the Dean of Zonkwa Deanery under the Kafanchan Diocese of the Catholic Church in Northern Nigeria. Just about a year ago, he was abducted from his rectory by unknown gunmen. Thankfully, he miraculously escaped from their den by sheer bravery and the mighty help of God.

That is a sobering reminder of the persecution faced by Christians in the region where Fr. Yatai has been called to minister. Yet, undeterred, he presses on to equip himself further for the work of ministry as a Certified Christian Counselor.

In our interaction with prospective students, we’ve noticed that many people take the phrase tuition-free at face value. So, we thought it wise to clearly explain what it actually means when a theological seminary says it is tuition-free—and why there are still some fees to pay.

A tuition-free model simply means that you are not charged for access to lectures, instruction, or teaching content. That’s the part we provide at no cost. Whether it's a degree program or a short course, the learning materials and lectures are made freely available to all.

However, this does not mean that every aspect of your education with us is free of charge. There are still administrative, examination, and certification costs—and these are necessary to keep the institution running sustainably. For example, if a student wishes to sit for exams, obtain a certificate, or be licensed by the Seminary, there are minimal fees associated with those processes.

In our short courses, for instance, all participants receive free access to every lecture. So, anyone who simply wants to learn and grow can do so without paying a dime. But those who wish to take the exam and earn formal certification are required to pay the relevant examination and processing fees.

Our tuition-free approach is a step toward ensuring that more people—especially those with limited financial means—can access sound theological education. This model is not only affordable but also helps to bridge the gap in ministerial training and educational opportunity.

The tuition-free model opens up doors for those who may have once believed that theological education was beyond their reach. It is our firm conviction that ministry preparation should not come with an overwhelming price tag. And no one called to serve the Lord in any capacity whatsoever should be left behind simply because they couldn’t afford to pay.
