2023 Corban University’s Agriculture Science Dinner

Corban University’s Ag Science Program has planted seeds of Christlike agriculturalists, eager to get into a variety of careers within the ag industry. It takes a community to cultivate those seeds. Without our sponsors, supporters, donors, and community partners investing in the growth of our program, supplemented with the grace of God, none of this would be possible. To our attendees, thank you for your investment in our program and our students. You helped us surpass our goal of $50,000!!

Thank you to Tom and Karen Avinelis who provided a vision of a Christian Ag program on the West Coast, and have generously supported us financially, educationally, and have warmly welcomed our ag dinner to be located on their property. God bless you all, and thank you. See you next year!

In honor of National day, we want to give our thanks to Dr. Susie Nelson, director of Agriculture Science here at Corban University! Dr. Nelson has used her agricultural background, expertise, and years of classroom instruction to bring agricultural studies to Corban, and we could not be more thankful for her! 👏🏼

Got Soil? 👨‍🌾

Thank you to Peak Plant Genetics and Hilton Trenching for welcoming Corban’s soil science class out today!

Peak Plant Genetics is responsible for releasing more new turfgrass varieties than any other private company in the USA!

We had a great time learning how to drive equipment with the Hilton Trenching crew, and expanding our knowledge of Willamette Valley agriculture. 🌱

What are Corban Ag students up to when we aren’t on campus? Working! Well… branding calves, feeding lambs, working show pigs, farming, cutting grass, and tissue and soil sampling in the onions- to be exact. But we wouldn’t want to spend our summers any other way!

Hey everyone! We are proud to represent Corban University’s Agriculture Program & FFA Alumni Chapter! We are committed to supporting and promoting the FFA and dedicating Christ-like service to the agricultural industry.

We want to thank God first and foremost, as well as all of our wonderful supporters (both on and off campus) for helping us launch our program this year- our FIRST year! We are truly grateful, eager to serve, and enthusiastic to make so many connections within Oregon’s agricultural industry.
