Study Abroad At Salem State We provide interested students with all the information and guidance necessary to pursue studies in a foreign country.

A study abroad experience—whether for two weeks, a semester, a summer or a year—provides Salem State University students a unique opportunity to become intimately familiar with another culture through study at a foreign university. Living in another country will broaden your understanding of the language, the people and the educational and social systems of a different world region, and educate yo

u as a global citizen. Studies show that those who have pursued study abroad as part of their undergraduate experience are in great demand by future employers, as they have a world view that other graduates do not. Salem State is committed to making overseas study opportunities available and encourages interested students to discover the world and bring it home. The study abroad office's mission is to provide interested students with all the information and guidance necessary to pursue studies in a foreign country. It also provides opportunities for interested students to speak with Salem State students who have already participated in a study abroad experience, and learn more about what to expect.
