Order of Omega, Iota Delta - Willamette University

Order of Omega, Iota Delta - Willamette University Order of Omega is an honors society that seeks to recognize members in the Greek community who have achieved excellence in scholarship and leadership.

The national organization was founded in 1959, and the Iota Delta chapter of Willamette University was chartered in 1988. Since its inception, it has initiated 305 members.

This week we would like to highlight Holly Peterson of Delta Gamma, Beta Pi - Willamette University. Holly is a Spanish major and Women's & Gender Studies minor. She has served as Director of New Members and Director of Sisterhood for Delta Gamma, and has also served as Willamette University Panhellenic vp: Public Relations. Next year she'll be pursuing a master's degree in International Education Management at the Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey.

Holly is a Hufflepuff and will be spending the summer in Quito, Ecuador through a Willamette program. We hope you have a wonderful time abroad, Holly!

Meet senior member Mariana Navarro. Mariana is a Biochem and Spanish double major. In 2017 she served as the New Member Coordinator for Willamette University Pi Beta Phi and Chemistry Club President, and she is planning to attend graduate school in the fall. Fun fact: Mariana hates ferris wheels.

This week we'd like to feature Spencer Hong of Beta Theta Pi - Willamette University! Spencer is an Economics major and Spanish minor, and he's also attending the Willamette MBA School. Spencer has served as Vice President, vp: risk management and vp: finance within his chapter.

Meet Jordan Fickas of Sigma Chi Willamette University! Jordan is an Exercise Science major with a minor in Psychology. In the past, Jordan has served as Vice President and as Community Service Chair of Sigma Chi. He is currently working to get a local child abuse assessment center nationally accredited, and he is also hoping to get two papers published relating to his research in child maltreatment! In his free time, Jordan loves to travel and take photographs.

This week we'd like to highlight senior Nina Dabit! Nina is a Politics and Economics double major, and has served as vp: communications, Director of New Members, Director of E-Communications, and Director of Spring Philanthropy for Delta Gamma, Beta Pi - Willamette University. She also served as ASWU Chief Justice from 2015 - 2016, was a member of the Student Budget Advisory Committee this year, and is an active member of the Willamette Debate Union Travel Team. After graduation she's hoping to work in either economic development policy or political communication.

Nina is another Slytherin 🐍 and is passionate about bougie cheese.

We are proud to have such an involved, passionate, lively woman as a member of Order of Omega and the Greek Community at large!
