International Student Association at Salem State University

International Student Association at Salem State University ISA helps diversify the Salem State University and its surrounding communities. The International Student Association is open to all undergraduate students.

International Student Association (ISA) is a group of international & domestic students at Salem State University representing countries from all over the world. It was established in 1989, and has proven to be one of the most active clubs on campus. Its purpose is to foster international awareness and cultural exchange between all members of the Salem State University community. Two of ISA's majo

r functions are helping international students cope with emotional difficulties like homesickness and culture shock and facilitate the students' assimilation into the American culture and environment.

The International Students Association of Salem State University hosted a meal packaging event at south campus cafeteria for Nepal. This fundraising effort started last year right after the devastating earthquake. We packaged 10,000 meal packets with the help of many folks. Lisa McFadden from institutional advancement, Gail Rankin and Jean from ITS, Asian student association lead by Yessica and other members of the community who saw the posting in Facebook came to help. There were 30 volunteers who completed packaging 10,000 meals. Thank you all for your help.
The work you did will feed many people. One meal packet feeds six. Thank you very much!
