How much more do we actually gain when we train AI models with more data, and what does it cost in energy and computing power?

Dr. Dwyer will present “Revisiting the Scale of AI Model Training: An Empirical Analysis of Token Count, Energy Consumption, and Parameter Efficiency,” sharing findings from 150 controlled training trials examining the relationship between token counts, model performance, energy use, and computational efficiency.
