Come see our very own Willam8tte perform with the Free Key Choir on September 17th at 7pm in Hudson Concert Hall!

Willamette University’s own vocal octet, Willam8tte, shares the stage with Oakland-based ensemble, Free Key Choir, in this exuberant celebration of new music. Founded by Willamette graduate Derek Sup, Free Key Choir draws on Folk Punk, Renaissance, Barbership, and Gospel influences, and specializes in performing new works with massive vocal forces and unconventional accompaniment. Since 2022, Free Key Choir has been offering its unique blend of storytelling and cutting edge choral music to sold out audiences in the Bay Area and LA. The Willamette University Department of Music is thrilled to present this evening of music curated by one of Willamette's own graduates.

Florent plays on the upright bass, Anya combines foot percussion with piano, and David performs on saxophone. Each set explores the interaction between human performers and digital/analog technologies.
