This time of year is so bittersweet…thrilled to see these amazing students heading off on new adventures but so sad to say goodbye. Today was au revoir to Mady who is heading for her PhD at Strathclyde in Scotland on a The Fulbright Program grant - in Irish and Scottish History (She makes Dr W so proud!).

Are you a Pell Grant student? Do you want to study abroad? Dates for this year's Scholarships have been announced:

The Fall 2026 application will open later this month (August) and the application deadline is Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 11:59pm Pacific Time. The advisor certification deadline is Thursday, October 8, 2026.

The Spring 2027 application will open in January 2027 and the application deadline is Thursday, February 25, 2027, at 11:59pm Pacific Time. The advisor certification deadline is Thursday, March 4, 2027.

We had another amazing group of students who applied for the Fulbright this year! Though our hearts broke for those who were amazing and did not win, we have 6 spectacular scholars who care so much about our community who won their Fulbrights this year! Great job, Mady, Owen, Camila, Logan, Charlie, and our amazing student worker, Neila!
