Hey CFA students, tired of the scholarly humdrum? Want a break from classwork? Come on a field trip to Boncom!

Boncom bridges the gap between belief and behavior through advertising, experience design, and branding. Their client roster includes the LDS Church, the Utah Jazz, the U.N. Foundation, UDOT, the Smithsonian National Museum, & more!

On this trek, you can:
-Meet professionals in design and advertising
-Learn about different career paths and internship opportunities

Summer ArtsForce Intern, Zoe Madrid, recently interviewed her former teacher, Nicole Lavley (Art Teaching BFA ā€™17, MAT-FA '20) about her experience as a student, becoming a teacher, taking a break from the profession, and now working as a professional nail technician and artist.

Nicole suggests asking more questions and diving deeper into connecting with what you want to create more than anything. Donā€™t let your preconceived notions of what a successful artist is stop you from finding your practice and how you want your art to be.

ā€œThere are so many ways to create, and you should really curate it. Thatā€™s your biggest role. The biggest work of art that youā€™ll ever create as an artist is your practice and how you do it.ā€
