Halloween is right around the corner, and the Bennion Center is recruiting volunteers for our next Saturday Service Project! 🎃

Join students, staff, faculty, and community members in supporting Officer's Hollow, a trick-or-treat event for Title I Elementary School students and their families, co-hosted by the College of Social Work, the Office for Residence Life, and the Bennion Center.

They are also partnering with the Lauren McCluskey Foundation to support preparation for their Race for Campus Safety! PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers for the Race for Campus Safety are needed on October 30th and volunteers for Officer's Hollow are needed on October 31st.

The Sunnyside Fall Forum is this Thursday October 8 from 6:30PM - 7:30PM in the Cottonwood Community Center. An online option is also available for those who cannot make it in person. Residents!
As a reminder, starting today all Sunnyside West Village buildings will be locked 24/7. Residents will need to have a UCard, affiliate ID, or access card with you whenever you leave your apartment, including during the daytime. Your card will be needed to enter your building and access the areas you are currently authorized to use.

If you accidentally forget your UCard, you can get a loaner access card during regular business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Loaner cards are available at the Maintenance Office.

If you are locked out after regular business hours, please call Campus Security at 801-585-2677 for assistance. The $15 after-hours fee will be waived until December 31, 2026.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we make this change. We appreciate everyone's help in keeping Sunnyside a safe and welcoming community for all our residents.

As a reminder, Beginning October 1, all Sunnyside West Village buildings will be locked 24/7. This is the next step in improving the safety and security of our community now that all our buildings are complete and occupied.

What does this mean for you?:
Starting October 1, you will need to have your UCard, affiliate ID, or access card with you whenever you leave your apartment, including during the daytime. Your card will be needed to enter your building and access the areas you are currently authorized to use. Please make sure you have your UCard or access card with you whenever you leave your apartment. We recommend keeping it in a secure, convenient place so it is readily available when you return to the building.
