Hello Everyone,

We are excited to introduce RA Sydney.

Hi Everyone! My name is Sydney Trimble. I am originally from Boise, Idaho and am going into my fifth year at The University of Utah. I am double majoring in Marketing and Strategic Communication. This year I will serve as a Residential Advisor in the Marriott Honors Community. I came to college knowing that I wanted to learn about the way people in interact, but overtime developed an interest in how these interactions contribute to the success of businesses through marketing efforts. Through the David Eccles School of Business I have been fortunate enough to have studied abroad during two separate summers in Paris and Rome, taking courses in international finance, marketing, strategic management, and business law. I love getting involved in student organizations on campus that allow me to branch out and meet new friends each semester. Some of the student groups I am proud to be a part of are Delta Gamma Sorority, Pre Law Student Society, The Ethics Club, and Global Business Brigades. Each of these communities in which I belong to represent a different piece of my personality, and have helped give me an incredibly holistic educational experience. Currently I am in the process of applying to law school and hope to become more involved in human rights efforts within the Salt Lake City community--especially those efforts aiding underrepresented communities that make up the eclectic mix of intelligent and thoughtful people who contribute to our local society.

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to introduce RA Amy.

Hey what’s up hello! My name’s Amy Loret and I’ll be the RA for the Eccles Scholars and Entrepreneurship Community in the MHC. I’m currently an honors biology major who is trying to figure out what to do after college (potentially pediatric neurology). I’m from Idaho. Yes, those are potato boxes in my picture. I enjoy combining education, science, innovation, leadership, and creativity in ways that will support and improve the lives of people in the community, especially children. I get to do this as co-president of the U’s American Chemical Society Student Chapter, Primary Children’s Kid’s Crew Volunteer and Science Show director, Bennion Center FIRST Lego League Utah program director, and a future Community Engaged Scholar. I’ve also spent the past two years researching pediatric muscular dystrophy in a genetics lab. Basically, I think it’s fun to wear lab coats, explode things, and build Lego robots. I’m passionate about making resources and opportunities for success accessible to all students. I have the opportunity to serve as an ASUU College of Science Representative, President of the Organization for Women Leaders in Science (OWLS), and a member of NRHH. I’m also a biology tutor and take notes for the University’s Center for Disability Services. Some things I like to do include: going on hikes less than 2 miles, watching YouTube videos of cats, planning events, and baking. Some things I would like to learn how to do include: juggling, American Sign Language, and anything that involves coordination. Lastly, I have a public service announcement, which is to try and attend as many events as possible because free food.

Hello Everyone,

Today we are excited to introduce Ra Jean.

Hi MHC residents! My name is Jean Kim and I am an RA for the Honors Thesis Mentoring Community. I’m majoring in Sociology and International Studies with a minor in Korean. I am passionate about a lot of social issues, one of them being homelessness. I volunteer with Catholic Community Services to provide meals for the homeless community. On campus, I work as an Ambassador for the College of Social and Behavioral Science to provide opportunities for our students. After I graduate this year, I’d like to pursue a degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in public policy or management. In my free time, I play tennis, eat out, and karaoke.

Hellol Everyone,

We are excited to introduce RA Alysa.

Hello everyone! My name is Alysa Edwards and I am the Residential Advisor for the MHC Engineering Community. This will be my fourth year as a student and my third year as an RA. I am studying Biomedical Engineering and International Studies. Following my graduation from the U, I want to attend medical school and pursue a career in surgery, emergency medicine, or global health. I love to rock climb and I’m learning how to mountain bike and backcountry ski. My love for the wild places in Utah has encouraged me to be a trip leader with Outdoor Adventures on campus. Through the OA, I plan trips with my friends and co-leaders to help U students experience the amazing landscapes that our state has to offer. I am also the President and Founder of the Crimson Climbing Collective which works with the non-profit group, the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance, to promote climbing stewardship and education. We host graffiti removal and trail work projects in the canyons and encourage safe and environmentally friendly climbing practices. I currently work in a research lab at the Veterans Affairs Hospital near campus developing new prosthetic models for amputees. If you have any questions about research, climbing, living on campus, or anything else, I would love to talk with you!

Hello Everyone,

We are proud to introduce RA Lily.

Hello! My name is Lily Bosworth, I'll be a Residential Advisor for the Marriott Honors Community Science Research LLC. I'm a biology major, but that is subject to change, I like all the sciences! I love the outdoors, I've grown up hiking Utah's mountains and canyon lands which has lead to an interest in the connection between environmental health and social justice. I'm a member of the Honors Urban Ecology and Sustainability Scholars, a group that aims to help the campus become a more sustainable place through inclusion and education, "making the invisible visible." I haven't figured out what career path I want to take yet, but I hope to work with water be it through policy, research, or engineering,I am fascinated by how it flows through a watershed and how this path impacts the life surrounding it.
