Hello Everyone,
We are excited to introduce RA Amy.
Hey what’s up hello! My name’s Amy Loret and I’ll be the RA for the Eccles Scholars and Entrepreneurship Community in the MHC. I’m currently an honors biology major who is trying to figure out what to do after college (potentially pediatric neurology). I’m from Idaho. Yes, those are potato boxes in my picture. I enjoy combining education, science, innovation, leadership, and creativity in ways that will support and improve the lives of people in the community, especially children. I get to do this as co-president of the U’s American Chemical Society Student Chapter, Primary Children’s Kid’s Crew Volunteer and Science Show director, Bennion Center FIRST Lego League Utah program director, and a future Community Engaged Scholar. I’ve also spent the past two years researching pediatric muscular dystrophy in a genetics lab. Basically, I think it’s fun to wear lab coats, explode things, and build Lego robots. I’m passionate about making resources and opportunities for success accessible to all students. I have the opportunity to serve as an ASUU College of Science Representative, President of the Organization for Women Leaders in Science (OWLS), and a member of NRHH. I’m also a biology tutor and take notes for the University’s Center for Disability Services. Some things I like to do include: going on hikes less than 2 miles, watching YouTube videos of cats, planning events, and baking. Some things I would like to learn how to do include: juggling, American Sign Language, and anything that involves coordination. Lastly, I have a public service announcement, which is to try and attend as many events as possible because free food.
