A relaxed, no-pressure evening for anyone curious about design school and what life at HSID Utah is really like.

This design community event is your chance to:

• Learn about our programs

HSID Utah students had an incredible day exploring industry insights and behind-the-scenes perspectives with three outstanding SLC businesses: Artifact Rugs and Flooring, Roth Living, and Fusion Paint.

From learning about the craftsmanship and coordination behind related trades to discovering career pathways and local connections, our students gained valuable real-world insight into the design industry in Salt Lake City.

From classroom to career in record time, Kaylee is turning ambition into achievement.

Congratulations to Kaylee, a graduate of the Fundamentals Program at HSID Utah, who quickly secured employment in the field after completing her training. Her drive and focus paid off as she stepped confidently into the industry. 💫

In addition to launching her design career and currently working towards completing the master’s program at HSID Utah, she continues to maintain her real estate license, strengthening her professional versatility and expanding the value she brings to clients.

We are so proud to celebrate Kaylee’s success! She is a true example of the student outcomes and career-ready foundation built at HSID Utah.

Our students recently visited Interior Concepts Design House in SLC, an incredible experience made possible through our partnerships with local design firms.

Known for standout projects — including the founder of Crumbl’s home in this year’s Parade of Homes — their team gave students a behind-the-scenes look at how great design comes to life.

From workshopping concepts and presenting ideas to sourcing materials from our extensive resource room, every step is hands-on and intentional. Students also build technical expertise in industry-standard tools like Revit and AutoCAD, bridging creativity with precision.

With guidance from supportive and encouraging instructors who bring real-world industry experience, vision turns into ex*****on.

The result is client-ready portfolio work built on a foundation of practical, professional training.

When students see that design begins with listening, understanding, and translating individuality into material choices, tone, and texture, they learn how to create spaces that feel deeply personal.

That is how you get work that is bespoke. That is how you create spaces that make people feel seen.

With over a decade of experience in corporate, commercial, and event design, plus founding her own firm and leading complex projects and teams through consulting, Brittany brings real-world depth and practicality to our Fundamentals program.
