September is National Su***de Awareness Month, a month dedicated to sharing resources, promoting mental wellbeing, while breaking the stigma of su***de. Particularly, September 10th is World Su***de Prevention Day to focus global efforts on awareness and remembering those affected by su***de.

From a public health perspective, su***de prevention starts from building environment and conditions that support mental health wellbeing, seeking for populations that might be more at risk, and ensuring that adequate resources are provided for communities. Public health is a key factor in addressing conditions that contribute to su***de risk while creating a healthier environment that will help people thrive.
