This week our students had the chance to connect with incredible healthcare leaders across hospitals, health systems, clinics, and corporate teams. They shared experiences, outlined career goals, and explored exciting projects and leadership opportunities at their upcoming residencies. A huge thank you to the preceptors, recruiters, executives, residents, and fellows who invested in their growth, your guidance is shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders. Excited for what’s ahead!

Tiger Tank is a Shark Tank-style pitch competition where students develop and present innovative solutions to real healthcare challenges. Over the past two months, our students worked hard to identify problems, build solutions, and apply design thinking. We are so proud of all of our teams for their creativity, collaboration, and hard work!

This week we had the opportunity to spend time in Houston learning from healthcare leaders across Memorial Hermann, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, and HCA Houston Healthcare / Gulf Coast. This trip gave our class such a valuable look into strategy, operations, and leadership in action, and we are leaving with so much to reflect on.

Today, our students got the opportunity to visit San Antonio City Hall and hear from local leaders about the policies, partnerships, and community efforts shaping public health in San Antonio. The visit highlighted how health outcomes are influenced not only by clinical care, but also by factors like transportation, education, safety, and community support. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their insights with our students.

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind!Last week, our first-year class attended the ACHE Congress, reconnecting with alumni and building new connections at the HCAD Alumni Social in Houston. It was an incredible reminder of the strength of the HCAD network. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

This week, three of our first-year teams traveled to Cleveland to compete in the 2026 Cleveland Clinic Case Competition Quarterfinals, where they developed innovative digital health solutions to address real healthcare challenges. We are incredibly proud of all three teams for advancing to the quarterfinals and representing Trinity so well. A special congratulations to The IV League Team for taking first place!

Today our wonderful SIO chairs hosted a Taste of Diversity potluck, and it was filled with incredible food, culture, and community. So grateful for moments like this. Thank you for bringing us together!

This past Wednesday, we wrapped up the year with our annual HCAD holiday celebration. From tears to laughter, the night was a mix of bittersweet moments. We learned so much this year, and saying goodbye to the M’26 cohort as they head to residency fills us with both sadness and pride. They’re off to the best places and will be amazing healthcare leaders!

Today, our first-year students went out with Marc Strode and Greg Seiler—their amazing Institutional Management professors who have taught them real-life examples of what happens in a hospital and brought many inspiring people to speak to them this semester. Thank you both for everything you do!
