Today, Trinity University undergraduate students officially began their field placements at Hawthorne Academy!

We are so excited to see our future educators step into classrooms, build meaningful relationships with students and teachers, and connect what they are learning at Trinity to authentic classroom experiences.

A special thank you to Hawthorne Academy for their continued partnership and for providing our students with valuable opportunities to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in the classroom. We are grateful for your continued support of our future educators!

And a big thank you to Dr. Katherine Espinoza and Dr. Rocío Delgado for leading this group and supporting our students throughout their field experience!

Our Master of Arts in School Psychology Cohort of 2028 recently returned from an unforgettable three-week study abroad experience in Querétaro, Mexico!

During their time abroad, our students gained firsthand experience learning about both the public and private school systems. They partnered with teachers and administrators, observed students in the classroom, and collaborated on school-wide intervention strategies to support the schools they visited.

Beyond the classroom, they embraced the opportunity to experience a new culture. From enjoying la comida with their host families to learning to adapt to changing schedules and government regulations, each day challenged them to grow both personally and professionally.

Before returning home, every student left behind practical tools and resources for the schools they served and came back with new perspectives, lasting friendships, and a deeper understanding of what it means to be a culturally responsive school psychologist.

We are so proud of our Cohort of 2028 for their hard work, compassion, and dedication throughout this incredible experience.

Although the semester has come to a close and many students and faculty are off campus for the summer, we invite anyone who is available to join us in supporting our Education students at the 2026 Education Research Symposium + Commencement Celebration.

This special event highlights the dedication and achievements of our undergraduate and graduate students as they present their research and celebrate the conclusion of their academic journey.

Celebrating excellence in education!

Since its launch in 1982, the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching has recognized and honored teaching as a profession by celebrating outstanding educators who have distinguished themselves throughout their careers.

This year, we are proud to honor 16 exceptional teachers across 16 school districts in San Antonio, Texas, for their dedication, impact, and commitment to shaping future generations.

Join us as we celebrate these incredible educators at the 2026 Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching!
