Trinity University Psychology Department Congrats to our recent grads! We love our past and current majors!

Our primary mission is to educate Trinity students in scientific methods of inquiry for understanding mind, brain and behavior. We focus on providing our majors with broad exposure to the main sub-disciplines of psychology, our minors with courses that complement their primary interests, and all of our students with an introduction to fundamental psychological principles and ways of knowing. Throu

ghout our curriculum, we emphasize the acquisition of cognitive and methodological skills that will facilitate both informal and formal post-baccalaureate education. These skills equip our majors for graduate training and careers in psychology, related disciplines, medicine, and the law. The Department of Psychology believes that our educational goals are best accomplished through strong professional relationships among faculty and students. In the context of traditional courses, individual instruction, career advising, and research, faculty members serve as mentors for students’ development and learning.
