The Mexican American Studies Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio offers a BA degree option, with the potential for double majoring in any of its nine concentrations: Anthropology, Communities, Families, and Children, Interdisciplinary Studies, History, Literary and Cultural Studies, Non Profit Management, Political Science, Sociology, Music, and Spanish. We prepare students for graduate school, professional careers, and commitment to community.

“Fiesta and the Coloniality of Public Celebration and Cultural Tourism,” a student symposium on Fiesta’s past and present.

UT San Antonio's MAS Program is accepting applications for Spring 2026! Our MAS Graduate Certificate is a 12-hour certificate program that is open to graduate and doctoral students, as well as post-baccalaureate candidates who want to deepen their knowledge of Chicanx Studies theories and methodologies and bridge this critical knowledge in their policy, educational practice, community-engaged research, and advocacy work!
