Week 2 of Week of Welcome was all about sweet treats, good vibes, and connecting with our Jaguars!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a paleta, and hung out with us! We loved seeing so many familiar and new faces around campus. 🐆

AUGUST CHRONICLES: SGA

And just like that, August is in the books! 🐆

From preparing for a new academic year and participating in SOLDD to Week of Welcome, the Involvement Fair, our first Taco ’Bout It Tuesday, Convocation, and our first Senate meeting, August was filled with opportunities to connect, lead, and represent our Jaguar community.

Behind every event, meeting, and conversation was one goal: making sure student voices are heard. August gave us the opportunity to introduce our new SGA team, connect with students across campus, and begin laying the foundation for an impactful 2026–2027 academic year.

As we look back on the month, we’re grateful for every student, faculty and staff member, and campus partner who helped make these moments possible. From the conversations at our tables to the work happening behind the scenes, every interaction helped us take another step toward building a more connected and engaged Jaguar community.

Thank you, Jaguars, for making August such a great start to the semester. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited to continue serving, representing, and advocating for our student body throughout the year.

Every first Monday of the month, we wear our maroon with pride to honor the legacy of Senator Frank L. Madla and his lasting impact on Texas A&M University San Antonio and the San Antonio community.

A New Session. A New Chapter. 🐾

Today, we proudly announce the beginning of the 19th Session of Student Government Association (SGA) at Texas A&M University San Antonio!

This day is especially meaningful as we also hold our first SGA Senate Meeting of the 2026–2027 academic year. With a new session comes a renewed commitment to leadership, advocacy, service, and, most importantly, representing the voices of our Jaguar community.

The first Senate meeting is where the work begins. It’s an opportunity for our Senators, Executive Board, Judicial Branch to come together, share ideas, discuss the needs of our students, and begin working toward meaningful change on our campus.

SGA is more than a group of student leaders it is a platform for students to be heard, represented, and involved in the future of their university. Every voice matters, and every student has a role in making our campus community stronger.

To our 19th Session: lead with purpose, serve with integrity, and never forget who you represent.

And to our Jaguar community: we want to hear from you. Your ideas, concerns, and experiences help shape the work we do.

Here’s to a new session, new opportunities, and a year of making an impact together. 🐾

The 19th Session of SGA is officially getting started, and we invite all Jaguars to join us for our Public Senate Meetings throughout the Fall 2026 semester!

Public Senate Meetings are an opportunity for students to stay informed and see their Student Government Association at work. Students are also welcome to speak at the end of the Senate meeting and share their thoughts, concerns, questions, or ideas with SGA.
