The Social Justice Organization of Our Lady of the Lake University is a non-profit that was founded in 2013, by a group of students taking a course based on Christian Ethics. In the process of taking this course, some students came together and had lengthy discussions on the topics of the course that are touchy issues that our society faces today and impacted those students viewpoint. In coming to

gether, these students began discussing why the university did not have a group that helped provide information to the student body to bring awareness and advocate for those in need. It was from there that they began and started to branch out seeing who else was interested. After a semester, the group started collaborating with other groups on campus on hard hitting topics. On April 30, 2014 the social justice organization was established has an official RSO of Our Lady of the Lake University and has continued to serve the community, by showing, helping, and advocating for those in need and bring awareness to the community in regards to Social Justice issues; and have hosted and participated in events that serve the community.
