For many families in Bexar County, the cost of college has been the biggest barrier.

That is starting to change.

More students are going to college, and poverty is declining across our community. Programs like AlamoPROMISE are helping drive that progress, giving thousands of students a path to college without the burden of tuition.

Do you think cost should ever stand in the way of a student’s future?

This Thursday, April 2, between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the Texas Department of Emergency Management will conduct a statewide Public Warning System drill. 📢

During the test, you may:

-Receive an alert on your phone
-See messages on local TV or radio
-Hear outdoor warning sirens

No action is needed! This is only a test to ensure emergency systems are working properly and ready for real emergencies.

If you hear or see an alert on April 2, it is just a drill.
