UT Health San Antonio was honored to join the San Antonio Spurs in Comfort, Texas, for a PE takeover that brought middle school students together through movement, wellness and fun.

As the Official Sports Medicine Partner of the San Antonio Spurs, we’re proud to support healthy, active communities across South Texas — on the court, in the classroom and everywhere in between.

Here, that belief guides every moment of care. From diagnosis through recovery, patients are supported by a coordinated team of experts offering thoughtful, personalized options, including clinical trials that provide access to promising therapies not yet widely available.

For nearly six decades, Marvin Forland, MD, MACP, helped define what UT Health San Antonio would become.

A founding faculty member of the medical school in 1968, Dr. Forland was an accomplished physician, educator and servant leader whose belief in compassion, ethics and humanism shaped generations of learners and colleagues. His contributions extended far beyond medicine, leaving a lasting impact on our institution and the South Texas community.

We remember Dr. Forland with gratitude and honor the enduring legacy he leaves behind: https://bit.ly/4xuQysB
