Through the integration of UT Health San Antonio and UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio, students across our programs are gaining expanded access to campus organizations, student experiences and athletics, creating new opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

For pediatric dentistry resident Jordan Nolan, DMD, that has meant returning to the ice with UTSA Hockey while continuing the rigorous training that prepares him to care for young patients. A serious infection following knee surgery left Jerry Sparrow facing months of pain and uncertainty about whether he could keep working.

After being referred to Frank Buttacavoli, MD, at UT Health San Antonio, Sparrow underwent specialized revision knee surgery to address the infection and restore function in both knees. Today, he is back at work, back at the gym and back on his motorcycle.
