Jennings, Patten and Seals received Gilman-McCain Scholarships. This is a new Gilman scholarship that provides awards of $5,000 for children and spousal dependents of active or activated United States military personnel.

A Spanish-language volume coedited by professor Michael Cepek with Latin American, North American, and European collaborators is now in print. The volume titled “Epistemologías Andinas y Amazónicas” was published by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. The second volume, in English, is now "in press” and it will be published by the University of Chicago Press/HAU Books. Each volume has chapters from Indigenous South American scholars.

JUNE 29, 2023 — UTSA Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Kimberly Andrews Espy today announced the appointment of Jill Fleuriet as vice provost for honors education. She begins her duties July 1.
