MAS Program - Mexico, the Americas, and Spain, Trinity University The Official page of the Mexico, The Americas, and Spain (MAS) Program of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas

In 2005, Trinity University created a university-wide program centered on Mexico, the Americas, and Spain (MAS) to underscore the importance of Latino culture in the research programs of its faculty and the academic plans of its students. Since then, MAS has become one of the premier interdisciplinary programs at Trinity and an umbrella organization for efforts of every kind to more deeply engage

with the MAS world. This unique program provides Trinity students with unparalleled opportunities for engagement with the language, life, and culture of the region, while reaching out to the rich and diverse community in San Antonio.

Deciding to study abroad in Salamanca was very intimidating because I knew that I was signing up for an untraditional experience. However, it has paid off immensely, and I have been able to immerse myself in the culture of Salamanca in a way that I never would have been able to otherwise. Getting to study at a real Spanish university has allowed me to learn alongside Salmantinos my age who share my same interests in film and art. I have also made lifelong friends with Latinos from all over Latin America who are studying abroad with me. Salamanca is a special place because it attracts students from all over the world while also providing an intimate small city experience.
