Our Lady of the Lake University's Worden School of Social Service has been educating social workers for over 70 years and offers both the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work. As the first school of social work in Texas, OLLU has set the standards for social work education and is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. OLLU social work graduates can be found in every secto

r of social service worldwide. In 2009, the Worden School of Social Service won the coveted Council on Social Work Education Presidential Award for Excellence in Social Work Education! Sensitivity to cultural and ethnic differences is key to the Worden School’s mission and commitment to working with at-risk populations. Worden's MSW program is one of only three programs in the United States with a concentration in Direct Practice to Hispanic Children and Families. The Worden School offers a BSW program, and offers the MSW program both in San Antonio and across the world through its evidence based online education program.

Congratulations to Courtney Norris, a Master's student in Social Work, for becoming the first OLLU student to complete the Google People Management Essentials Certification and Badge through Coursera. Courtney completed this certification to strengthen her leadership, team management, and communication skills—all while pursuing her degree.
