Whether you've just arrived in San Diego or have been calling it home for a while, join us for a casual afternoon celebrating our newest local alumni!

The San Diego Penn Alumni Club is hosting a Welcome to San Diego Picnic to introduce alumni who've recently moved to the area to our broader community here. Come meet fellow Quakers, swap stories about adjusting to life in SD, and enjoy a relaxed Sunday in the park.

What to bring:
We'll provide non-alcoholic drinks, please bring a picnic-style lunch, snacks, or a dish to share if you'd like. Blankets or lawn chairs are a great idea too, since we'll be picnic-style on the grass.

Who should come:
All Penn alumni are welcome, especially those who've recently relocated to San Diego! This is the perfect chance to build your local network and find your Penn community out west.

If you are considering attending the IVY PLUS “Much Ado About Nothing” Shakespeare event this Wednesday— Highly recommend!! The show is one of the funniest and well done of all this season!! It is worth it and highly recommended for a light hearted evening for sure! Costumes are fantastic as well!

Please see below an event the MIT Club of San Diego is hosting with Sky's the Limit Observatory, outside of Joshua Tree. There will be star gazing, a talk from an MIT Professor, and a meet & greet with Professor Seager ahead of time. It's the weekend of the new moon and the Milky Way should still be visible!

When: Saturday September 12, at 7:00pm. The event is expected to last 2.5-3 hours.

RSVP: Tickets required, it will sell out!

Cost: Tickets for non-members are $45, with all proceeds going to towards donations to Sky's the Limit and the club's other STEM outreach effort
