National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 to recognize the history, culture, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

The Hispanic and Latinx communities have had a profound and positive influence on our country through their strong commitment to family, faith, hard work, and service.

President Ronald Reagan expanded National Hispanic Heritage Month in 1988. The date was chosen because it is the Independence Day of five Central American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua.

How will you celebrate?

When people think about education funding, they often think in terms of cost.

But the bigger picture is long-term return.

✔ Higher earning potential for students
✔ Stronger and more prepared local workforce
✔ Economic growth across the region

Investments in education ripple outward — benefiting not just individuals, but entire communities.

How do you think education impacts long-term economic growth in a region?
