Dear SDSU Liberal Studies Students-

Do you want to play with robots? Do you want to design machines? Do you love toys?

Thanks to a generous grant from MSTI (Math and Science Teacher Initiative), we're able to offer you this chance to participate in a unique, top-notch professional development program called MSTI MAKERS. Only 25 lucky participants will get the best maker education training for FREE! This program is open to all Liberal Studies students with priority given to Math and Science emphases; that stated, all interested folks should apply. (We are also opening up to Science and Math majors.) This professional development consists of the following:

Maker Education Certificate

Opportunities to observe expert credentialed teachers teaching in makerspace classrooms
Opportunity to collaboratively work on a hands-on, community-based problem using makerspace resources
As you know, the future of education is in STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Math). The MSTI Makers program is a great way for you to get ahead - Be a Maker Educator! Be the teacher future generations need!

SDSU's Liberal Studies program is now (finally) a CSET Waiver program. Eligible students can qualify for the CSET Waiver which means they are waived from taking the three Multiple Subject CSET exams required for teaching credential programs since they have completed a program that meets the necessary Elementary Subject Matter (ESM) competencies.

I have finalized the protocol for SDSULibSt CSET Waiver. Please read the Policies & Procedures and the Self-Evaluation Form which are posted to our Blackboard site. It will be posted online soon!

In addition, I will also host some CSET Waiver Info Sessions this week. See the flyer and complete the google form. RSVP Here: https://tinyurl.com/CSETWaiver

By reading the Policies & Procedures and attending the info sessions, you will learn about the CSET Waiver, about who is eligible, about how to become eligible, etc.

Please do not email me or the advisors without reading the Policies & Procedures and/or attending an info session. This is your chance to get all your questions answered!
