Today was a fun day with . They came to give a presentation about their awesome work and to see some of our amazing portfolio students’ work. Big thank you to Pearlfisher and to alum Olivia Larsen for making the trip and supporting our program. Good job to all the portfolio students, your work looked great!

Graze is a southern comfort food restaurant in Asheville NC that was concepted and designed by Alissa Whelen. We hope you also love the sassy copywriting and fun logotype as much as we do. Come see more of Alissa's work and our other amazing students at our student show on campus this June.

Check out Annie Westwater's beautiful architecture magazine Cantilever. The gorgeously modified magazine logo supports the sophisticaed and minimalist direction. This June we will be having a student show where you can see more of Annie's work as well as our other talented students.

This wonderful travel inspired wine concept was developed by portfolio student Laura Rodríguez Porras. Using the visuals from passport stamps and boarding passes she applied them to multiple labels on the can to give it a unique feel. The illustrated driven direction for this Aquavit brand from portfolio student Ksenia Galyga is so great. Drawing from the rich history of scandinavian folk art Torsk visually blends viking motifs with runes and a earthy palette to help it stand out on the shelf. We can’t wait to share the rest of this project and many more amazing projects from this portfolio group at our student show this June.

Great news for City in the new year. We have moved up in the World Brand Society Global Design Education Rankings to 2nd in the world. We were also selected as WBDS Design Education Institution of the Year for 2022/23. This is a great honor and thank you to World Brand Design Society for recognizing our students and their stellar work. As a public open access institution, we continue to push towards providing high quality education for all as we know this is critical to create representation and equity in the design industry. Congrats to the students who were awarded for their incredible work and thank you to our team for mentoring our amazing and diverse students.
