style and career choices that got them to where they are today. Attendees will have opportunities to learn about strategies and tools for professional development. This conference will be a powerful event that features an empowering keynote speaker, a full roster of exhibitors catering to women and the breakout sessions will give you practical, relevant advice and tools to help you navigate through your personal and professional journey. The UC San Diego Women’s Conference is free and open to all UC San Diego faculty, staff and students and is organized annually by the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (CSW). The CSW was formed in 1987 and comprises representatives appointed by the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion from members of faculty, staff, and students at UC San Diego. The CSW’s charge is to identify and analyze issues relating to the status of women faculty, staff and students at UC San Diego; to inform and educate the campus community about conditions that affect the status of women within the University; and to advise the Chancellor regarding policies and procedures that will improve conditions for women.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to delay this year's conference to Fall Quarter 2019. Planning is still underway and we will be contacting all of those that responded to our call for assistance with the conference soon. Please continue to check back periodically for new information regarding this coming year’s speakers and vendor participants -- as well as date and theme.

Speaker: Izabel Caetano Francy

Bio: Izabel Caetano Francy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), hired in 2014 as a UCSD Faculty & Staff Assistance Program Counselor who has over 15 years of experience as a behavioral health provider and clinical supervisor within the San Diego community. She received her BA in psychology from UC Santa Cruz and went on to earn her Masters of Science in Social Work from UT Austin. Izabel began her San Diego career working as a student mental health therapy intern at San Diego City College. She currently spends the majority of her day providing one-on-one counseling, groups, workshops, departmental consults and crisis management to employees within the UCSD campus community. Izabel also runs the UCSD Working Mom’s Group at the Women’s Center every 4th Wednesday of each month. She is the primary counselor for our Post-Doctoral Wellness Program, as well the Workplace Bullying workshops and classes in collaboration with our Staff Education Department.
