The Center for Research in Mathematics & Science Education (CRMSE) brings together researchers interested in studying how individuals acquire knowledge in mathematics and science. CRMSE facilitates and encourages collaboration among faculty members from departments of the College of Sciences and the College of Education. Faculty and staff of CRMSE are engaged in activities including research, curriculum development and dissemination, publications, presentations, and leadership roles.

Seventeen California State University campuses, including San Diego State University, are joining a statewide biodiversity monitoring effort in partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey and with $2.5 million in funding from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Cannabis Program.
