Huge congratulations to CSE Cole Kurashige for being named a finalist in the 2026 UC San Diego Grad SLAM! 🏆

Grad SLAM is an annual competition that challenges graduate students to distill their deep-dive research into a fast-paced, "TED Talk" style presentation designed for a general audience. A diverse panel of campus judges assessed the presentations based on delivery, structure, and the significance of the research.

Cole is a PhD student in UCSD’s Programming Systems group in the CSE Department. He took the stage at the Qualcomm Institute to present his talk, "Error-Free Software For All."

Proud of our students for making research accessible! 🔱

Double your impact for the next generation of UC San Diego CSE! Our PACE (Peer-led Academic Cohort Experiences) program provides first-year computing students with the mentorship, hands-on activities, and welcoming spaces they need to thrive in a tech-driven future.🔱💻

This , we have a massive goal: The CSE Alumni Advisory Board is matching up to $50,000 in donations to PACE!

How the challenge works: Every $2 you donate will be matched with $1 from the fund, thanks to the generosity of alumni and CSE AAB Members like Justin Allen '10 (CS). Your gift directly supports operational costs, ensuring that all students—regardless of background—can access the connections they need to succeed.

Help us build a stronger computing community. Give today!
