Speed Networking Mentor RSVP: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4796541
Please join us as a Mentor for our Virtual Mentor/Mentee Speed Networking program kick-off event on Thursday, November 5th, from 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Live via Zoom (link to follow once your RSVP is received).

DETAILS, DETAILS.
The Alumni Mentor Program is a very rewarding program for both the Mentor and the Mentee. It provides NewSchool students (Mentees) a window into the design profession through you, the Mentor whose role is to be a friend and guide to the design community and profession.

TIME COMMITMENT…UP TO YOU!
We recommend spending two hours together a month – which can include phone calls, video conferencing, or professional online networking events.
Mentoring gives you a unique opportunity to facilitate your Mentee’s growth personally as well as professionally. Your experience and guidance are invaluable to your Mentee as they gain more “inside” knowledge into the design community, lifestyle, and profession.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR ME, YOU ASK?
You will also gain strength in your leadership and coaching skills and enhance your dedication and passion for your profession. You get to reconnect and become involved with your NewSchool of Architecture & Design community and potentially be considered to serve as an Alumni Board Member, which is great for professional advancement. Many of our Alumni Board Members have gone on to serve on other boards such as the AIA, City of La Mesa, San Diego Architectural Foundation, and others. Finally, it never hurts to be someone’s guide and hero (professionally speaking, of course).
