We were thrilled to welcome Matthew Goldberg ’05, chief of the San Francisco City Attorney's Worker Protection Unit, back to campus as a guest lecturer in Professor Seema N. Patel's employment law class.
Goldberg is one of the most consequential voices in workers’ rights litigation today. In 2020, he argued the landmark People v. Uber Technologies case, challenging the classification of rideshare drivers under California law. He continues to litigate this case on behalf of drivers who worked between 2016 and 2020, alongside other cases advancing economic security and workers’ rights in California.
Thank you for sharing your time, your expertise, and your example with our students!
