Hearty congratulations to the SFCM Trumpet Ensemble for its 2nd place finish in the Undergraduate Small Ensemble Competition at the National Trumpet Competition, and to Caleb Brosnac for his great arrangement of the Finale from Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings. And to Michail Thompson for his 3rd place finish in the Undergraduate Solo Competition. Super great job everyone! Here’s a link to the ensemble’s award winning performance:

Mark Grisez (BM ‘15) moved to Ohio in March to start his new role as Principal Trumpet in the Columbus Symphony. Two weeks of performances later, the pandemic shutdown orchestras worldwide.
