We’re baaaaack with our annual spring Adopt-A-Plant event! Plant parents and plant parent wannabes, swing by the EOPP Office (SSB 201) and DECI Office (SSB 206) on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 12-3pm. COME PICK UP A BEBE PLANT FOR FREE, Y’ALL. What we have so far: Philodendron Brasil, Neon Pothos, Mini Monstera, Marble Queen Pothos, Jade Pothos, and various succulents. Unfortunately, with all the budget cuts, we probably won’t have as many plants available as last year, but we did get sunflower seeds of mixed variety and plan to have seedlings that you all can take home too. We will try to get some vegetable seeds as well, and set up a station the day of the event in case you all want to plant your own or just need some soil or little nursery pots. The DECI Office in SSB 206 has graciously offered their space and supplies so that you all can paint terracotta pots for your new plants, too. We’re so excited! 🪴

Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 16 by 5pm in order to participate and be guaranteed at least one plant bebe. RSVP form available by QR code and in an email in your inbox titled 🌱 EOPP | Adopt-A-Plant.

FREE AND OPEN TO ALL SF STATE STUDENTS AS WELL AS YOUR LOVED ONES! We all know it’s important to learn to how to manage our money well. So we’re very excited to announce that EOPP will be offering a free financial literacy class that will help you do just that. https://sfsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3Ek0DgtkRgr11uC here! It’s on two consecutive March 12 & 19, 2024 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Developed by Bruce Miller, it’s called Understanding Money. He has taught over 1,000 students—including multiple cohorts at Stanford, Dartmouth and Los Angeles City College—how to get out/stay out of debt, save and invest for their financial freedom. (Details on Understanding Money and Bruce’s bio are attached.)

The course’s tagline speaks to his mission: “Financial literacy for all. For free.” Bruce does this entirely pro bono, including one-on-one Zoom calls afterwards, where you can confidentially discuss your personal money situation. And he has no relationship with any financial institution.

He's graciously offered to teach a private class for San Francisco State University, and that means you! Understanding Money has literally changed people’s lives. See for yourself by signing up.
