Controlled wobble created inside the Nucleus of single atom to store the Quantum Data !
The Nucleus of the Atom is probably the Safest Place to Store the Quantum Information , But there is a Trick !
What's the Safest place to store the Information ? No , It's not your locker or cloud application !
Researchers believe that when It comes to store the quantum information , the nucleus of the atom is the safest place .
Quantum Information is the data stored and processed inside the Quantum Computer in the form of Qubits .
Such techniques can be used in highly secured Quantum Communication Channel .
The researchers performed an interesting application involving the Titanium atom (TI-47) to read and store the Quantum information inside its nucleus .
The storage of Quantum Information is Challenging inside the nucleus .
The Spin or direction of Spin of the nucleus can be used to hold Quantum information .
The magnetism or "Spin" in Quantum language acts as a needle of the compass that point in various directions . The orientation at a given time gives the piece of Quantum information .
The researchers suggest that to read the quantum information we need to match the spin of electrons and nucleus , The only way to do it is by disturbing the electronic spin movement by creating the wobble inside the atom .
The voltage pulse were used to push the electron spin out of equilibrium , after which both the nuclear and electronic spin wobble together for a fraction of microsecond .
Then they used the needle of scanning tunneling microscope to read the information from the electrons interacting with the nucleus .
It successfully demonstrates that "Efficient shielding from the outer environment makes the nuclear spin a viable candidate for holding the quantum information ".
