I just received an email from the Undergraduate and Graduate Program Coordinator, for Department of Public Health at SFSU. The PH Faculty nominated me and I will be awarded the "Health Education Service Award" for the Undergraduate Class at the Public Health H Department Graduation!!!

This award honors graduating Public Health students who have provided service to the department and/or university and/or community at large as a health educator.

And I think I know the professors that nominated me. But, I didn't even know this award existed.

Our Public Health students have a wide variety of skills rooted in social justice, health equity and cultural humility. May 1st : https://lnkd.in/gn8Kj3nZ (SFSU Public Health internship returning and new preceptors survey) is due. I will be updating site placements to share with students by May 3rd. If you change your mind and want to host past the May 1st deadline, please let me know as the site list is a live document I work on and make students aware that it is constantly being updated.
May 8th: Students will receive their "top 5 placement survey" based on your site list.
May 10th: Students will finish their "top 5 placement survey".
May 17th: Students will reach out to you for onboarding!

Reminder: Students must complete 15 hours per week for 10 weeks.
June 3rd: First day of instruction and first week of internship hours.
August 9th: Last day of instruction and last week of internship hours.
