Alpha Eta Rho, Eta - San Jose State University

Hi Everyone,

we just had our first General Member meeting today. The topics covered are as follows. I know it is lengthy so please read it.

Important Events for the Department:
There is a HLUET Meeting coming up on 9/17 about RHV Closure, if you can go and help represent the department that would be great. Professor Francesca Favaro is in charge of the people who can attend. It is at 5pm at 70 West Hedding Street, 1st Floor. (Pledges can gain community hours with this event)

Club Events:
Bowling Night is on Thursday September 20th from 9PM-12AM at 5420 Thornwood Dr, San Jose, CA 95123. Officers, members and potential pledges will be there.

Fire on the Fountain and Alumni Social on Thursday September 27th from 5:30PM-7:30PM we will have a booth with all three clubs; Alpha Eta Rho, Women In Aviation and Precision Flight Team. We will have information and activities if any of you guys want to help out or be a part of, that would be great. (Pledges can gain community hours with this event)

Homecoming Tailgate on September 29th that Daniel Mello mentioned in a previous post. Members and Alumni will be there and we encourage our pledges to go and meet Alumni and Members!

AHP National Conference is OCT 25TH-28TH We are still requesting funding for so there will be an update with that in a couple of weeks.

Airmens Ball (MANDATORY EVENT FOR PLEDGES )(Pledges can gain community hours with this event)
the Date is November 3rd from 6PM-1AM. We will have a flyer up with location and prices for tickets. We will have 3 different Prices:

Member Price (Paid Semester Dues)/(Pledge Price)
Non-Active member (Did Not Pay Semester Dues but can still attend to the Event)
Alumni Price

All of which will be on the Flyer! Your date will pay the same price you pay! There is an Early Bird Price and A regular price. (INFO for this will be on flyer on how you can pay and by when)

OCEANO AEROCRASH BRIEFING:

If you have any questions after reading this, comment on this post.

1) SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: It is your responsibility to either bring your own tent or secure a space in someone else's.
2) FOOD: You are encouraged to bring snacks. AHP will only provide hamburgers and hotdogs for roughly two days.
3) GEAR: Bring whatever extra camping equipment you want and/or game equipment e.g. frisbees etc.
4) There is an ATV rental company in the area; bring money
5) WEATHER: It is forecast to be in the mid 70s during the daytime. Pack warm clothes for night time as we will be close to the ocean.

AHP leadership will be arriving at the camp site tomorrow afternoon.

Just a quick announcement,
Our National Director Julia Jones was kind enough to give us the green light on Graduation stoles for AHP. I'll leave the link below so you can see the design they decided on. If you are interested in buying one for graduation please message us or let any Eta officer know since we can get a discount if we order in bulk which is more $$ saved for you guys.

Hello Eta's! Hope everyone's Spring Break was good..
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Aerocrash is around the corner and we need to get everyone's shirt orders in by TODAY 4/2/18 in order for them to arrive on time for Aerocrash. If you have already paid your Aerocrash tickets make sure you give your shirt size, color, and sleeve length to our Secretary Yudit Martinez or Treasurer John Welborn by today to get your shirt order in.

Tickets for Aerocrash will cut-off this Friday 2/6/18 so we can get an accurate headcount. Remember if you are a non-active member we must confirm you have paid dues before attending any AHP event.

MOVIE NIGHT Part 2!
This Wednesday 4/4 we have been invited to watch the advanced screening of BLOCKERS in Eastridge Mall at 7:30pm. RSVP by today as well since we will e-mail our contact with a headcount for the tickets.
