There are three branches of ASI that serve Cal Poly and that students can get involved in: Executive Cabinet, Board of Directors, and the University Union Advisory Board. Each of these branches takes on specific responsibilities and ensures that every Mustang has a voice, has ways to get involved, and has countless great memories by the time they graduate.

Meet your newly elected 2023-24 Chair of the ASI Board of Directors, Siddharth Kartha!🎉The ASI Chair of the Board is the facilitator of policy development and leads a group of 24 elected student leaders who serve as the official voice of students and ASI's corporate governing board. Siddharth is a Third-Year Computer Science major from the College of Engineering (CENG). Congrats Siddharth!

Join , in collaboration with , , and , for Healthy Conversations!🗣️ The event will take place next week on May 30 from 11 a.m. – noon in the Chumash Auditorium, Left Wing, located in the University Union (Bldg 65).

Healthy Conversations is an open forum for students looking to express their thoughts or opinions about their mental and physical health on campus.💬 Advocates from Safer, PULSE, Health Services, and Counseling Services will provide responses to various student questions and feedback. If you cannot attend the event, please head to our Instagram story to submit your questions. Urbane Cafe will be provided. Come stop by and support!

Caty and Tyler shine in !🌟 They registered 643 students to vote during fall quarter, earning them first place in the 2022 Ballot Bowl!🗳️🎉 Recently, they were recognized by the California Secretary of State for their efforts in civic engagement on our campus. At the Cal State Student Association Plenary in Bakersfield, Caty and Tyler were also awarded second place in the College Involvement and Values Impacting Communities challenges category.

Our Story

ASI Student Government is comprised of elected and volunteer student leaders that act as the representative body for the student community at Cal Poly. As the collective voice of the students, leaders advocate for change, support, and resources to create positive contributions both on and off campus. Through the three branches of ASI’s Executive Cabinet, Board of Directors, and University Union Advisory Board, student leaders work together to practice shared governance, student advocacy, and collaboration with campus and community entities to ensure student interests are represented at every level.
