A huge thank you goes out to the Gene Haas Foundation's Student Scholarship Grant Program! The Gene Haas Foundation has funded the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department's 2024/25 Earn By Doing Student Working Scholarship program! Scott Coventry from Haas Factory Outlet a division of Machining Time Savers dropped by the Gene Haas Advanced Manufacturing lab at Cal Poly SLO yesterday to present the $40K scholarship check to the IME students and faculty. This working scholarship grant allows the IME Department to have paid MfgE student technicians in every machining lab at Cal Poly! Our two Gene Haas CNC machining labs have over 800 students making parts on Haas CNC machine every academic year! This would not have been possible without the Gene Haas Foundation's continued support! Thank you so much for your advancing manufacturing engineering at Cal Poly SLO!
