Happy National Agriculture Day from the Cal Poly Beef Unit!
Today we recognize the impact of the cattle industry and the dedication it takes to care for livestock day in and day out. From feeding and herd management to hands-on student experience, our Beef Unit is proud to be part of shaping the future of agriculture.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to raise quality cattle while living out Cal Poly’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy.

During the first week of February, Beef Operations Manager Aaron Lazanoff, Animal Science Lecturer Jason Dubowsky, and student employee C**t Chamberlain, who attended as an intern, had the opportunity to attend NCBA’s CattleCon in Nashville! They represented our program while gaining industry insight, building connections, and continuing to grow within the beef industry.
