Last weekend our chapter enjoyed a trip to Las Vegas, Neveda for our spring formal! 🎰🃏

On Monday, Phi Sigma Kappa was honored to receive three awards at the Standards of Excellence Banquet, recognizing the work our chapter has done over the 2025 calendar year.

For the third consecutive year, our chapter received the Pillar Award for Excellence in Community Service & Philanthropy.

We were also awarded the Pillar Award for Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, reflecting our efforts to build a brotherhood where every member feels welcomed, valued and supported.

Finally, Alan Ko ( #613) was honored with the New Member of the Year Award for his leadership, initiative and service during his first year in the fraternity.

Family Weekend 2026 in the books. Thank you to all the supporters, parents, and siblings who came out and spent the weekend with us in SLO. From the beach to the Tri-Tip Challenge and golfing at Dairy Creek, it was awesome getting to share what makes us so Damn Proud to represent.

Congrats to our April Brother of the Month, Tyson Portmann #576!

Tyson is a Construction Management major from Raymond, Washington. He joined our chapter as part of the Beta Pi pledge class and has continued to make a strong impact through his leadership, consistency, and dedication to our brotherhood.

This past year, Tyson served as the Fall Inductor for the Beta Sigma class, helping lead and mentor a group of 25 new members into the brotherhood. His effort and commitment played a major role in welcoming the newest class of brothers and setting them up for success within Phi Sig.

Tyson shared that one of his favorite Phi Sig memories was Alumni Weekend, where he enjoyed hearing stories about the history of the fraternity and learning more about the generations of brothers who helped build the chapter.

After graduation, Tyson plans to pursue a career as an estimator and project manager in the Pacific Northwest.

Congrats, Mr. Portmann! The chapter thanks you for all your hard work. Damn Proud!

The brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa are proud to announce our 2 newly elected sweethearts for this year!

Hi!! I’m Nora and I’m so excited to be a sweetheart for Phi Sigma Kappa! I’m a second year Psychology/Pre-Dental student and a member of Sigma Kappa here at Cal Poly! I love the outdoors, going to the beach and of course, being with the brothers of Phi Sig! I’ve made so many incredible friendships and can’t wait to make more memories with all these amazing men as their sweetheart!!

Hi! I’m Regan and I’m so honored to be one of the 2026 sweethearts for Phi Sigma Kappa! I’m a second year Environmental Engineering major from Portland, OR, and am on the board of the Society of Environmental Engineers and Chi Epsilon. I love to workout, dance, cook, and hang out with the brothers of Phi Sig! I’m so grateful for the lifelong friends I’ve made in this chapter, and can’t wait to give back as sweetheart!
