Please join the Cal Poly School or Education and the BCSM as we welcome Dr. Anthony Muro Villa III (UCR), Dr. Karla Lomelí (Santa Clara), and Dr. Eduardo Muñoz -Muñoz (SJSU) at the Multilingualism in Education Conference - a one-day symposium focused on multilingualism in education on Saturday, May 17th from 10am - 3pm at the Advanced Technology Labs (ATL) at Cal Poly SLO.

📣 Calling all bilingual educators! Strengthen your cultural understanding and better support your Indigenous students and families by joining MICOP’s Cultural Competency Training: Mexico’s Indigenous People.
This training is designed especially for those working in education—teachers, school staff, and community liaisons—who want to:
✅ Deepen their knowledge of Mexico’s Indigenous cultures
✅ Understand migration histories and family structures
✅ Learn about language justice and the importance of Indigenous language interpretation
✅ Connect with MICOP’s community-rooted models like Promotores and Community Navigators
