Calling All UndocuQueer Artists and Creatives!

The Dream and Pride Center are planning to hold a space for undocuqueer artists to find community and healing through their artistic talents! Before the event on May 8th, we would love to have all interested artists drop off their pieces at the Pride Center (UU-217), between 9-5, before May 5th! All mediums are welcome! We would also love to have each artist describe their story and their piece at the level of their own comfort, so please bring a label for your piece as well, depicting the piece title, medium, and artist/artists! Our Centers are excited to see your fantastic pieces, and feel free to DM our centers with any questions! 😊

Join us in community at our bi annual BIPOC Healing Event. This event is a space to uplift BIPOC voices and for students who are looking to connect and dialogue with peers about the unique experience of what it means to be a BIPOC student navigating a PWI institution. We hope to see y'all at the Native American and Indigenous Cultural Center (NAICC) on Tuesday January 24th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This event will be facilitated again by the Assistant Coordinator of the Black Academic Excellence Center, Kianah Corey and Coordinator of the NAICC Cheryl Flores.

The Student Diversity and Belonging team stands in solidarity with the women and people in Iran. We are deeply saddened by the ongoing pain and injustice impacting members of the Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) student community. For students directly impacted, please know that we see you and are here to continue to hold space and extend our care. As campus community centers in service to marginalized student communities we will continue to provide opportunities for educational engagement. We encourage students to connect with professional staff within our Centers for support in accessing campus resources such as obtaining holistic support from the Dean of Students Office, socio-emotional support from Counseling Services, and other potential student services.

We encourage all Cal Poly students to also continue to inform themselves on what is happening in Iran and find ways to show their support, solidarity, and learn how to show up for members of our campus community that are directly impacted by what's happening in Iran. We also would like to acknowledge the leadership and labor taken on by students from the Iranian Student Cultural Organization (ISCO) and the Cal Poly SWANA student organizations as they continue to educate our broader campus community. To learn more scroll left and follow organizations such as and who are leading educational and advocacy efforts for folks wanting to stay informed.
