Cuesta College is accepting applications for an enthusiastic team member to contribute to a vibrant learning environment in our North County Learning Resource Center. This librarian will provide research instruction and library services in person and online which focus on critical thinking and analysis of student papers, projects, and general information needs. As the primary North County Campus librarian, they will work to establish strategic partnerships with other departments, programs and groups serving students.
Cuesta College's North County Campus Center is located in rural Paso Robles and includes a library, makerspace and computer lab and works closely with the adjacent tutorial, academic success and DSPS departments.
This Full-Time, Tenure Track Librarian will provide services at the North County Campus Center as the primary assignment location; occasional shifts at other campuses or centers may be required; occasional evening and/or weekends may also be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
-Master's in library science, or library and learning science;
OR
-The equivalent. (Candidates making application on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment. For directions on what is an acceptable equivalency argument please review the requirements listed on the following link:

OR
-A valid Community College credential in the discipline (If received prior to 1990, as the credential is no longer being issued).
Also Required:
-Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desirable:
-Teaching experience in the discipline, community college level;
-Experience in managing library software, applications, social media, and related library technology;
-Experience developing programs for Spanish speaking and first generation students.
