⚠️ Traffic Advisory – Texas State University Spring Commencements

Please be advised that heavy traffic is expected around Aquarena Springs Drive, Charles Austin Drive, and E. Hopkins Street due to Texas State University Spring Commencement ceremonies.

Delays are anticipated throughout the day, and drivers should expect slow-moving traffic, congestion, and possible temporary backups in and around campus areas.

UPDATE 4:30 p.m.: The missing adult was found safe. Thank you for your help

Missing Vulnerable Adult

San Marcos Police are asking for the public’s help locating William Thompson, 82, who was last seen near Quail Creek Drive and Mandalay Lane wearing a navy blue shirt, khaki pants, and sandals. He may also be accompanied by his black pit bull “Peaches”.

William has dementia, and there is concern for his safety.

If you have seen William or know where he may be, please call police immediately.

An additional 2 to 4 inches of rain is possible over our area through tonight which could lead to scattered instances of flash flooding, particularly over the Hill Country, I-35 corridor and Coastal Plains.
