At CoBA our students’ growth is our top priority and we love seeing them take advantage of the additional career growth opportunities the college offers.

For example, student Kelly Zimbelmann ‘23 just came back from the GlobalMindED conference in Denver Colorado. She was there to represent our school and the Business Development Program (BUS 300). Throughout the conference, Kelly participated in panels, workshops, and got the opportunity to network with incredible speakers and attendees.

Kelly was able to attend this conference with the help of CoBA’s allotted Student Success Grants (SSGs). She states, “it was a life-changing experience and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to attend. I left the conference with a newfound confidence in myself, validation in my dreams, new skills, and relationships that I will continue to nurture. Thank you very much CSUSM CoBA, my mentors, and the Student Success Grant for making all this possible.”

The Student Success Grants (SSGs) are available to help students meet the costs of attending skills, knowledge-building, and networking events that will enhance their professional development. CoBA recognizes that different programs have different professional development needs and opportunities, and encourages all students to apply for SSGs.
