A major component of the PACE center is the PACE Mentoring and Academic Coaching (MAC) program. Peer Mentors and Academic Coaches connect first-year students to university resources, provide academic support, and help make the transition to college as successful and enjoyable as possible. Peer Mentors- The peer mentors consist of enthusiastic undergraduate students. Their goals are to create a
sup
portive and inclusive learning environment, and connect with students inside and outside the classroom. They will be in select University Seminar classes (US1100) to serve as mentors and peers for students. Academic Coaches- The academic coaches consists of a dedicated team of graduate students. They work one-on-one with first-year students and provide information on study skills, life skills, goal setting, professionalism, and any other areas of interest for the student.
