On behalf of the Palomar College Veterans Resource Center, we would like to share an important upcoming event on May 22nd as we honor and remember the fallen service members who never had the opportunity to become veterans.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who gave their lives in service to our country and helped provide the security and freedoms we enjoy today.

We will be observing Memorial Day beginning at 9:00 AM at the Veterans Memorial on campus. We invite you all to come out and show your love, admiration, and respect for our fallen heroes.

I understand that some of you may feel like the Student Veteran Organization (SVO) has slowed down or fallen off, but that is not the case. We are currently in a transition phase, and this is actually an opportunity to rebuild stronger than ever.

We are working to establish a brand-new leadership team that will carry the SVO torch forward. Our goal is to increase our presence, engagement, and impact across our student veteran and dependent community here on campus.

This is your opportunity to get involved. Whether you’re interested in:
- Taking on a leadership role, or
- Simply becoming an active member of the organization
- We need you!!!

Please take a moment to review the flyer for Student Veteran Organization May 7th Elections Meeting. This will be a great opportunity to:
- Meet fellow veterans and dependents
- Help shape the future of SVO
- Build community and camaraderie
